At The Psychology Notebook, my goal is to provide high-quality, affordable education that genuinely helps you understand psychology without the financial barriers of traditional college courses. I stand behind the quality of this course, and I want every student to feel confident in their investment.

That said, I also protect the integrity of my work, the downloadable materials I provide, and the student community. Below is the official refund policy for the Introduction to Psychology 101 course.

You may request a full refund within 28 days of purchase — no questions asked.

If your request is received within 28 days, you will receive:

  • 100% of your purchase refunded

  • A confirmation email

  • Manual unenrollment, which revokes access to:

    • All lessons and videos

    • Downloadable study notes

    • PDFs and slide decks

    • Quizzes and bonus resources

    • Community access

Refunds typically arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.

➡️ Days 29–30: 2-Day Grace Period (Partial Refund)

If you contact me on Day 29 or Day 30, you may still request a refund; however:

  • A 10% administrative/restock fee will be deducted.
    (This is legal as long as it is clearly disclosed — which it is here.)

This fee covers:

  • Processing time

  • File access used

  • Platform fees not returned by Stripe/PayPal

You will still be unenrolled upon refund.

After 30 days from the date of purchase, refunds are no longer available.

This is to protect the course materials, digital downloads, and the integrity of the learning experience.

How Refunds Are Processed

Thinkific Payments

I will handle your refund directly through Thinkific.
You’ll receive a confirmation email automatically.

Stripe or PayPal

If you checked out using Stripe or PayPal:

  • Your refund is processed through that provider

  • Processing fees from Stripe/PayPal are not returned (their policy, not mine)

  • You’ll still be manually unenrolled in Thinkific

Taxes & VAT

If applicable, sales tax/VAT is refunded proportionally.

Course Access After Refund

Requesting a refund immediately revokes all access, including:

  • All video lessons

  • Priority access to new modules

  • Community and discussion features

  • Downloadable lecture notes

  • PDF slide decks

  • Any future updates

Because this is a digital course with downloadable materials, revoking access protects the value of the program and prevents misuse.

Preventing Abuse of the Refund Policy

I want to be generous and fair — but also protect the work I’ve created.
Refunds will not be granted if:

  • You’ve downloaded more than 50% of the course resources

  • You’ve completed more than 50% of the course

  • There is evidence that materials were copied, shared, or used for course-creation

(This protects against course piracy, which is unfortunately common.)

Chargebacks

A chargeback is not the same as a refund.
If you file a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting me:

  • Your course access is permanently revoked

  • Your account may be blocked from future purchases

  • Your payment provider may charge additional fees
